Manna Bible Institute was formed in 1944 to teach the Bible and related subjects in an environment in which men and women would feel welcome and comfortable regardless of their financial or social background. Manna students receive a biblical education that contributes to confidence, Christian maturity, and spiritual development. In 1944, the name “Manna” was chosen to celebrate God’s provision of food for the Israelites during their forty years of wandering in the wilderness. Jeremiah 15:16 was chosen as the School Verse: “Thy words were found, and I did eat them, and Thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by Thy name, O Lord God of hosts.”
